Years of alleged abuse leads to molestation charges for Elkhart man
ELKHART, Ind. -- Authorities confirm one man has been arrested on molestation charges in Elkhart County.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by Elkhart Police Detective Jacqueline Davis, on September 19th, 2017, Elkhart Police officers were dispatched to Elkhart General Hospital in reference to a report of child molestation.
The officer that arrived on scene spoke with the mother of the victim who alleged her boyfriend, who had been living with her, had been molesting her daughter for over two years.
The probable cause affidavit stated 25-year-old Henry Solano-Gervacio had been living with the family in multiple residences over multiple years, and these incidents had been for approximately two years.
The mother of the victim became aware of the issue when her younger child asked disturbing questions about things they had seen occurring between her sister Solano-Gervacio.
Solano-Gervacio denied the allegations against him, but could not provide any explanation as to why the victim described such detailed acts and also gave completely contradictory details of his home life with his girlfriend, opposite of what she had stated.
Solano-Gervacio is currently in Elkhart County Jail being held on five molestation charges with a $750,000 bail.
