Young man rescued from St. Joseph River in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police responded to the St. Joseph River in the area of Logan and Lincolnway East Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, a young man was with his caseworker when he jumped into the St. Joseph River.
The caseworker called police to rescue him from the water.
Police and emergency responders pulled the young man from the water.
He was handcuffed and put into an ambulance.
He appeared to be okay, but cold.
