10-year-old boy struck by car while riding scooter Monday afternoon

ABC 57 ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A 10-year-old Millersburg boy is in a Fort Wayne hospital for a head injury after being struck by a car Monday afternoon while he was riding a scooter.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports a Ford Fusion, driven by 36-year-old Jonathan Borr of Millersburg, was traveling west on Blessing Street around 3:43 p.m.
Authorities say the boy was riding a scooter down a driveway in the 200 block of Blessing Street when he entered the roadway in front of Borr.
Borr said he attempted to stop but crashed into the boy.
The boy was treated by on scene medics before being taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for further treatment of a head injury.
Borr was cited for Operating with Expired Plates.
