11-year-old found unconscious in Elkhart home

ELKHART, Ind. – Elkhart Police were called to a home on Wood Street where they found an 11-year-old female not breathing
Saturday morning.
Officers arrived just before 8 a.m. and found the father of the girl doing CPR.
The 11-year-old died after she was transported to Elkhart General Hospital.
The father told police that the girl had been ill and was found unconscious.
An autopsy is scheduled for June 10th. The Elkhart County Homicide Unit will investigate this case.
