Mishawaka 14-year-old dies after gunshot wound

MISHAWAKA, Ind., --- An investigation is underway after a 14-year-old was found dead inside a Mishawaka home with a gunshot wound. 

Mishawaka Police responded to call at 615 Locust street in response to a shooting Friday evening around 7:00 pm.

When they arrived officials said they found a 14-year-old juvenile inside the house with a gunshot wound.

He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Police are not releasing the name of the teenager at this time. 

No arrests have been made, and the Major Crime Unit is conducing the investigation.
