15 Notre Dame tennis players earn scholar-athlete honors
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - 15 athletes from the University of Notre Dame women's and men's tennis teams received scholar-athlete honors.
Eight women and seven men received the honor, which is given to those with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or better.
The women who received the accomplishment were Julia Andreach, Carrie Beckman, Kate Bellia, Page Freeman, Nibi Ghosh, Rylie Hanford, Alex Kuo and Sydney Sforzo.
Meanwhile, the men who received the honor were Noah Becker, Jayanth Devaiah, Matthew Halpin, Braeden Ho, Evan Lee, Jean-Marc Malkowski and Addy Vashistha.
Both teams also earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s All-Academic Team award, which recognizes programs with a team GPA above 3.2.
This is the fourth consecutive season that the women's team has received the honor, while the men's team has earned it for the ninth-straight year.
