MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Lincoln Highway east of King Road on Tuesday around 6:16 p.m.
The report states a 2004 Ford F250, driven by 46-year-old Franco Milian, was traveling west on Lincoln Highway east of King Road when for unknown reasons he crossed the centerline.
After Milian crossed the centerline, he sideswiped a 2023 Chrysler minivan traveling east which was making an evasive maneuver toward a ditch to avoid being struck by the F250.
Authorities say Milian then struck a 2013 Ford Escape, driven by 20-year-old Aniesha Himes, head-on in the eastbound lane.
Milian's F250 then came to rest facing south on Lincoln Highway before catching on fire.
Milian was pinned in his vehicle and the fire was suppressed until the fire department was able to put the fire out and remove him.
The front seat passenger in the F250 was not injured. Milian was flown to Memorial Hospital for his injuries.
Himes was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
