SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Registration for the first ever 5K race at Reins of Life is now open.

On September 11 Reins of Life will sponsor a 5K run along their 24 acres of horse pastures and 20 acres of wooded trails. This event will support disabled adults and children.

All registered participants will receive a race t-shirt, a registration packet, as well as ribbons and awards for top placements on site.

There will be a discounted registration fee for any individual who is a veteran, first responder, or active duty.

There are two different races participants can register for.

The Hoofin-it 5K race is $30 or $15 for those qualifying for a discount or $50 for a family 1 mile walk package.
