Man drowns in South Twin Lake while attending bachelor party
LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind.—A 38-year-old man drowned in a lake while celebrating a bachelor party on July 19, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible drowning in the 1500 block of State Road 120 near Twin Mills Campground on July 19.
During their investigation, officers learned that a 38-year-old Chicago man was with friends at a bachelor party at the campground and they were swimming in South Twin Lake near Howe.
The man became separated from the rest of the party, reports said.
According to police, the man was found face down in the lake at which point his friends pulled him to shore and began chest compressions.
The man was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police said there is no evidence of foul play but the incident remains under investigation.
The sheriff’s office did not release the victim’s name.
