45-year-old man injured in 'strong arm' robbery

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. -- A man was injured when six people attacked and robbed him early Monday morning, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to US 131 between Michigan Avenue and North Main Street to investigate a robbery.

The 45-year-old victim said he was walking northbound on 131 when 6 people jumped out of a vehicle and started beating him. He said they stole $350 from him during the incident.

The victim suffered a chipped tooth and injuries to one of his eyes.
