47-year-old pedestrian struck by vehicle in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A 47-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Monday night, according to South Bend Police.

Officers responded to the intersection of Main and Garst around 11 p.m. on Monday night after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Investigators say a man was driving a Chevy Impala southbound on Main Street when 47-year-old Elizabeth Konrath ran across the street and was struck by the vehicle.

Konrath was taken to a local hospital for serious head injuries.

The St. Joseph County FACT was called and has taken over the investigation.
