51 Teachers laid off from South Bend schools

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- About 51 full-time teachers are looking for new jobs in the South Bend school district.
Friday, a letter went out letting them know they would be laid off. Those teachers can now look within the corporation to see if they qualify for any other positions that are open.
The superintendent told ABC57 News months ago the lay-offs were necessary because of a drop in enrollment.
