Elkhart County man charged with multiple felony counts of Child Molesting
Elkhart County Sheriff's Office ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- On Oct. 27, an Elkhart County man was arrested and charged with child molesting.
Clinton Becker, a 55-year-old from Elkhart, was charged with four counts of Child Molesting, all Level 1 Felonies, two counts of Child Molesting by Fondling Child Under 14, as Level 4 Felonies, and Vicarious Sexual Gratification, a Level 4 Felony.
The probable cause affidavit states that around March 18, 2025, detectives from the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office were dispatched for an emergency forensic interview with one of the two victims, after one of them told a teacher about the alleged molestation.
Detectives then interviewed the second victim, who described similar acts of sexual molestation. The victim stated Becker threatened to "kill whomever" the victim told. The victim participated in a sexual assault nurse examination at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
When detectives met Becker and advised him of his Miranda rights, Becker waived them and agreed to speak with them. According to the PCA, Becker denied touching either victim. He allegedly admitted to watching "gay" pornography, but never around either victim.
Becker allegedly told the detectives that he believed one victim manipulated the other victim into making the accusations against him due to being upset when the victim was denied permission to go on a trip with Becker's wife.
Becker has an initial hearing Thursday afternoon.
