South Bend community donates blood at Grace UMC
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The American comfort food staple, Macaroni and Cheese, gets its very own festival at Four Winds field.
You've probably gone to enjoy a game of baseball, but today the field was transformed into a massive outdoor kitchen.
This brought the Michiana community closer together to enjoy the comfort food but also celebrated local culinary.
"Baseball is awesome, and why not bring everyone together at somewhere that they already go during the summer," said Madison Kihm, director of events for Outlier Events. "Mac and cheese is that ultimate comfort food, and I think that speaks for itself when it comes to the community and bringing everybody together. I mean, we've got a beautiful day where they can eat some warm mac and cheese, and it's awesome."
An added entertainment bonus to the event was the Morgan Wallen cover band, Whisky Friends.
Ticket packages were available in alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink tokens to go along with the mac and cheese tasting.
