The rest of Christmas Eve will remain quiet and dry with mostly cloudy skies and lows near freezing. A few breaks of sunshine may appear during the evening hours, but clouds will build overnight. Expect a gray Christmas tomorrow, as cloud cover persists and scattered rain showers return, primarily in the afternoon. Southern Michiana counties are more likely to see these rain showers. Temperatures on Christmas Day will approach or even reach the 40° mark, continuing to climb into the week. By the weekend, highs are expected to climb into the upper 40s and 50s. Along with the warmer temperatures, rain chances will increase. Showers are likely to begin Friday and continue through Sunday. After the weekend, temperatures will gradually return to near-normal temps as we head into the New Year.
Christmas Eve: Overcast. Low 28.
Christmas Day: Scattered showers. High 40.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy. High 46.
Friday: Rain Likely. High 50.
