Cass County Jail

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Andy Freshour is now sentenced after evading arrest and stealing a Cassopolis Police squad car in May of 2025.

Freshour entered a guilty plea agreement to all counts back in March. He's now sentenced to a minimum of 24 years in prison for nine felony counts, plus an additional two years for seven felony firearm enhancements, with one year of jail time served. All but one of Freshour's counts will be served consecutively.

Freshour is sentenced three to 20 years for concealing a firearm, unlawful driving of a motor vehicle, fleeing a police officer, malicious destruction of police property, and firearm possession by a prohibited person.

He is also sentenced three to 15 years for larceny of a firearm, and assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer.

According to court documents, Freshour stole a squad vehicle on May 28, 2025, after he was detained on unrelated charges for a drug-related probation violation. He was eventually found and arrested again in a swamp.
