ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Friday, March 8, 2024
A warm front in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois will trigger light rain later this morning entering through southwest Michiana around 7-8AM. Expect the rest of our area to get progressively rainier throughout the day with a small chance for non-severe thunderstorms in the late afternoon/early evening hours courtesy of a cold front from the west. Temps quickly fall into the upper 30s overnight before returning to the low 40s on Saturday with rain showers primarily in the morning and overcast skies afterward. A slight chance for a rain/snow mix exists late Saturday night into Sunday morning as winds change to a northerly direction, although any snow that may fall will not stick. Winds will be the biggest concern this weekend with sustained values of 20-25 mph emerging late Friday night through Saturday. Gusts may exceed 30 mph in some locations, especially near the lake, as well. We return to quiet weather on Sunday with highs in the low 40s and partly cloudy skies, the first step in rebuilding towards the 60s later next week.
Today: Rain. High 58.
Tonight: Rain/wind. Low 39.
Saturday: AM rain showers. High 43.
Sunday: Partly cloudy. High 40.
