AAA holiday travel estimates

If you plan to hit the road for the 2014 holiday season, you will be joining a record number of Americans doing just the same, according to AAA.
The company predicts 98.6 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home starting December 23-January 4.
That's up 4% from 2013 and the largest amount on record, dating back to 2001.
About 91% of those traveling will do so by car, with gas prices at the lowest since 2009.
