ABC57 Exclusive: Lauren Pokuta's parents talk about her amazing recovery

An exclusive interview you will only see on ABC57 News -- an update on the New Prairie High School student who was left in a vegetative state from a horrific car accident!

17-year-old Lauren Pokuta nearly died in the August crash.

She and her best friend were headed home when they were hit by a car carrying five classmates.

Lauren could not walk, talk, or even move!

Now, for the first time, her parents are sitting down together to talk about her recovery.

"Our little girl is coming back to us, her personality is starting to shine through.  She's doing things that we probably thought for a long time we may never see again," said Lauren's mom, Tonja Pokuta.
