SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Artists from all across the nation are bringing color to South Bend’s concrete in the fourth annual Mural Mania festival.
The grassroots mural festival, organized by local artist Alex Allen, kicked off Wed. and lasts until July 6, with seven artists painting murals in six spots across the city.
Allen has been a full-time artist in South Bend for seven years. During that time, she’s been able to connect with many other artists and muralists at other festivals across the country, which is where she met many of the artists apart of Mural Mania 2025.
“It’s the reason I think I’m here, you know, I think that’s my purpose… so it means everything to me. For me… seeing these pieces go up… they keep me inspired throughout the whole year and… just knowing that it also really touches people…that gives me the motivation,” said Allen.
