SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- An 18-year-old was shot in the chest Wednesday night after a so-called disagreement. On Ewing Street in between Rum Village and Walker Field Park where children and families frequently visit.
Deshawn Adams somehow arrived at Memorial Hospital around 8 pm where medics found him with a gun shot would in the torso. The police report that the injuries were not life threatening--however neighbors feel that their peace of mind is being threatened.
Neighbors talked to ABC57 and said that they felt "unsafe" and were concerned that violence like this is just a block away from their families and friends.
South Bend Police Investigative Bureau is continuing to investigate the case, however any one with information that could help the case should contact the South Bend Police Department.
