After nearly 20 years, a South Bend Walmart gets a makeover

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Friday morning, a reporter from ABC57 met with the store manager of the Walmart located at 700 Ireland Road in South Bend to discuss the recent new renovations to the store.

The $8.3 million in renovations to the property included a new parking lot, rearranged departments, a full Hispanic aisle, and an expanded outdoor power equipment department.

Store manager, Joshua, told ABC57 the renovations aimed to improve efficiency for both associates and shoppers.

Joshua praised all the Walmart associates for their hard work and dedication during the renovations.

" I just want to thank all the associates in the building that's put in massive amounts of hours in the last 14 weeks." Joshua said. "Everyone's working around the clock, and I just really think the associates, the managers, and everyone in this store did a fantastic job coming together, and they're the real winners in this. They've worked really hard to get where we're at."
