Thousands without power due to high wind gusts
SOUTHE BEND, Ind. - Sisterhood brought together dozens of Riley High School students Thursday, for the annual District Sisterhood Conference at Ivy Tech.
This event is all about empowering female students, building up their self-esteem, and giving them the skills they need to become leaders of change, by listening and talking to other women already doing the work.
The girls had a chance to break out into workshop groups to talk about things like bullying, conflict management, and navigating their future goals.
ABC57 is told this was the largest turnout for the Sisterhood Conference since it first began in 2016.
