ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County 4-H Fair hosted a supply drive on Friday where they collected school materials that will benefit students and teachers in the community.
The drive took place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Elkhart County Community Center at the fairgrounds.
Jeremy D’Angelo, the Marketing Coordinator for the Elkhart CFounty 4-H Fair, says that they want to do all they can to help the community during this difficult time.
“We’re trying to get more creative with COVID and see how we can engage the community safely,” D’Angelo said. “It’s kind of hard because our fair is all about bring people together and that’s hard when we can’t really be together in mass gatherings like we’re used to. We’re just trying to give back in any way we can.”
The first 150 people to donate at least $5 worth of supplies received a free admission ticket to the fair next year.
Anthem also handed out gift-bags to the first 250 people who donated.
