Arrest made in theft of lawn items, flowers
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police have made an arrest in the theft of lawn ornaments and flowers from properties in Mishawaka and South Bend.
The person was arrested on Sunday, but the suspect's name has not been released.
Officers obtained and served a search warrant at the suspect's residence, which led to the recovery of approximately 165 lawn ornaments or plants, police said.
If you had items stolen from your yard, like a lawn ornament or flowers, within the last 30 days, Mishawka Police would like you to fill out an official police report with your local police.
If your item has been recovered, you will need proof of ownership. This can include a bill of sale, photo, distinctive markings, or known damage.
