Autopsy complete on woman found deceased at Kenilworth Road home

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has released new details in the death of the woman who was found deceased at a home on Kenilworth Road on Wednesday.

The preliminary results from the autopsy on Elizabeth Maikey, 55, determined her death was not a result of homicide.

Her official cause of death is pending the results of additional tests.

Maikey's body was found at a home in the 52000 block of Kenilworth Road around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A neighbor drove by and saw the garage door open and thought it was unusual. The neighbor checked the residence and found Maikey unresponsive.
