Banasiewicz family needs help keeping The Kitchen BMX and Skate Park open

A South Bend BMX rider who built a bike and skate park in the city in 2011 needs help keeping his dream alive. One year after building the park, Brett Banasiewicz crashed his bike at a contest, which resulted in a serious traumatic brain injury.

Since his parents have been tending to Brett's medical costs, the park, called The Kitchen, is at risk of closing its doors on Sample Street. They have set up a Go Fund Me account in an effort to save the park.
