Bank of America pays up

One of the nation's biggest banks has to pay up for breaking the rules that cost the government billions when the housing bubble burst.

Bank of America has agreed to a $10-billion settlement with Fannie Mae, for selling the government loans which borrowers could not repay.

Part of that settlement requires Bank of America to repurchase some of the questionable loans it sold just before the housing crash.
