Benton Harbor Charter School Academy closed due to gas leak

School officials in Benton Harbor say parents need to come get their children from Benton Harbor Charter School Academy.

The school posted the closing  in a Facebook message around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning, citing a gas leak. School officials assure parents the gas has been shut off, and there is no longer any danger.

But the building is without heat.

Parent-teacher conferences are also canceled Friday.
