Benton Harbor mayor named Benton Harbor Area Schools athletic director

City of Benton Harbor BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- A familiar face in local politics is entering the world of local high school athletics.
Benton Harbor mayor Marcus Muhammad is taking over the role of athletic director for the Benton Harbor Area Schools district. He was confirmed in a 5-2 vote by the school board earlier this week.
He's taking over for the current interim athletic director Danny Jennings, who is also the director of the Cape Center, the district's alternative school.
