BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating four fires they say are suspicious in nature.
The fires in question happened at the following addresses:
- 289 Hinkley Street, Benton Harbor
- This fire was discovered at an abandoned barn around 11 p.m. on July 6.
- 489 North Shore Drive, Benton Harbor
- This fire was discovered around 10:30 a.m. on July 5 at the abandoned Modern Plastics Corporation. At this time, investigators have no leads on the incident.
- 400 Donald Adkins Drive, Benton Township
- This fire was discovered just before 9 p.m. on July 9 at an abandoned school.
- Corner of North Shore Drive and Madeline Avenue, Benton Township
- This fire was discovered at a wood palette place around 7 p.m. on July 4. Neighbors in the area said they saw children lighting the fire but that they ran away.
