Berrien County sheriff declares road emergency

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey has declared a road emergency due to snow conditions impacting travel throughout Berrien County on Monday.

The sheriff requests that residents stay off of roads when possible to allow snow removal crews to remove snow safely.

Berrien County is closing all nonessential county facilities at 12 p.m. on Monday.

Benton Harbor has also declared a snow emergency. 

Residents are asked to stay off the roads and move parked cars off the street so the roads can be plowed.
