Cloudy with hit-or-miss showers early
It’s a much colder morning with sub-zero wind chills. There are a few light flurries in spots right now but most of the morning is easy going with a couple slick spots. Lake effect snow bands set up to the west begin to shift and move into NW Michiana late this afternoon, bringing heavy snow. 6-8” of snow will be possible for LaPorte and Berrien counties but there is a sharp gradient drop off in expected snow totals as you move away from the lake.
Lake effect snow comes to an end early tomorrow morning with much brighter skies Wednesday. Through the remainder of the week into your weekend, temperatures warm up. We make it into the 40s by Saturday but rain will be possible starting Saturday evening.
Today: Mostly cloudy with lake effect snow showers, high of 20.
Tonight: Isolated lake effect snow, partly cloudy, low of 10.
Wednesday: Lake effect ending, partly cloudy, high of 23.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, highs near 30.
