WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Boilermakers created a new tradition this season for all home games, called the 211 Session.
It's a pep rally inside Mackey Arena and features the All-American Marching Band, the team, the cheerleaders and Purdue Pete.
The rally starts 2 hours and 11 minutes before kick-off.
So why 211?
At 212 degrees, water boils and produces steam, which can power an engine.
The idea is the rally will make the temperature rise by 1-degree and make Ross-Ade Stadium a difficult place to play.
