Bomb squad detonates pipe bomb found on Detroit Avenue
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Police and the South Bend bomb squad were called to the 19400 block of Detroit Avenue Wednesday afternoon after someone located a pipe bomb in the house.
When investigators examined the pipe bomb, they discovered it had gun powder and BBs inside, according to St. Joseph County Police.
Bomb techs detonated the device around 5 p.m.
