UPDATE: The South Bend Police Department reports the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. SBPD's Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
ORIGINAL STORY: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Dispatch received a call about a shooting at 9:11 p.m. this evening.
The shooting took place in the 200 block of Studebaker St. in South Bend. One person has been transported to the hospital; their condition is currently unknown. The scene is currently active, and police are advising the public to avoid the area.
It is currently unknown if anyone has been detained. We will update this story as new information comes in.
