SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Dispatch received another call about a shooting this evening at 10:18 p.m. this evening.

The shooting took place in the 2600 block of Elwood Ave. in South Bend. Medics and police are on scene, and the scene is still active. Police are advising the public to avoid the area. 

St. Joseph County dispatch supervisor tells ABC57 that one person was shot; their condition is unknown. 

It is currently unknown is anyone has been detained. We will update this story as new information comes in.
