Buchanan community raises money to help man diagnosed with ALS

BUCHANAN, Mich. -- Hundreds came out to Buchanan Saturday to help a man who's spent his whole life giving to others.

Don Ross was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease recently and will soon be wheelchair bound.

So, The Buchanan Lions Club held a pancake breakfast Saturday morning to raise money for him and his family.

The family needs a new ramp for their home that Ross can use.

"It's very overwhelming to have a community like this that comes out and supports us so immensely. The monetary value is nothing compared to the love and support that we've gotten from our friends."
said Don's wife, Dianne Ross.

If you would like to donate money to the family you can contact The Lion's Club.
