BUCHANAN, Mich. -- ABC57's Peter Lacopo was in Buchanan today as crews began to tear down the city's Old Feed Mill located on the corner of Red Bud Trail and Railroad Street.
The mill, which has been in disuse for years, is being torn down along with an old auto shop building on the same lot.
The city announced on April 15, via social media post, that it has partnered with Berrien County to secure a grant that will fund the demolition of the iconic, yet long-abandoned structure.
The grant funds are coming from the State Land Bank, and the city did not disclose how much the demolition will cost.
