Build-up of sand in St. Joseph River causes trouble for boaters

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- A build-up of sand in the St. Joseph River is still causing trouble for boaters.

We checked in with St. Joseph marinas on Friday.

More people, of course, are getting out their boats because of the beautiful weather!

In fact, a lot of fishers were out, trying to get a bite.

But larger boats still cannot reach the lake.

It could be July before that portion of the river is dredged.
