Burlington Coat Factory to have Benton Harbor grand opening Friday

BENTON HARBOR, Mich.-- An old Kmart is getting new life in Benton Township.

A Burlington Coat Factory Baby Depot will have its grand opening on Friday. The new store is right off I-94 in the old Kmart.

Today, employees were busy adding the finishing touches. The township supervisor told ABC 57 she's excited about the new jobs coming, and hopes this will bring more businesses to the area!!

"We look at it as a big picture,” says Benton Township Supervisor Nora Jefferson. “We're hopeful other businesses will see that there's a thriving business that's located in this community and they will take advantage of the space and land we have available here."

Several employees have already been hired for the new store, but Burlington is still accepting applications.
