Campeau Streetscape Project starts Monday; avoid these intersections

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Campeau Street Streetscape Project is set to begin March 13 with two phases of street closures scheduled to complete the project that will include improvements to curbs, sidewalks, storm sewers, streetlights, and more.

Phase One involves the intersection of Campeau and Frances streets, which will be closed from March 13 until the middle of May.

Phase Two will address the intersection of Campeau Street, South Bend Avenue, and Notre Dame Avenue; closing it down mid-May and set to reopen again by the middle of July.

Frances Street and South Bend Avenue, north of Campeau Street, will be closed to through traffic during Phase One.

Howard and Cedar streets by way of Eddy Street and SR 23 will provide detour routes until the project's expected completion by mid-July.

All dates and timeframes are weather permitting.
