SOUTH BEND, ind. - There was an outpouring of prayers at a candlelight vigil Thursday night, for 12-year-old Josiah Small, who died in another senseless shooting last month.
There were nearly two dozen people joining hands, reading scripture, praying to end gun violence, and sending a message of peace.
Michael Elliot, a coordinator with On Site Prayer Ministry stated, "There's been a ripple of violence, it's rippled throughout the community. Hopefully this will be a ripple of positivity and peace."
Josiah Small was a student at Dickinson Fine Arts Academy.
He was shot and killed on Prairie Avenue just two weeks ago on October 27.
A 14-year-old was also shot and fortunately survived.
