Car crash sends two people to hospital

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Car crash on Saturday evening sent two people to the hospital.

At around 7:10 p.m., Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to a car crash in the area of CR 29 and CR 52.

Tyler Ferguson, 20, was driving westbound with a passenger when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.

The other driver Laura Clem, 36, struck Ferguson’s car on the driver’s side door while she was traveling northbound.

Deputies say Ferguson was unconscious but breathing at the scene and was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital.

The passenger in Ferguson’s car was transported to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne after complaining of full body pain.

Clem complained of pain of the left foot and neck.

Deputies say everyone involved were wearing seatbelts.

The crash is currently under investigation.
