Cass County man involved in 14-hour police stand off appears in court

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- On Wednesday, the Cass County man who held police at bay with a gun for 14 hours had his first court appearance.
Mike Long now formally faces charges for a standoff inside his ex-wife's home on Redfield Road in Edwardsburg.
We brought you the story as breaking news all day Monday. At the time, police said Long was inside the home, armed with a gun, and making threats.
His friends said that he was distraught about his recent divorce.
