ELKHART, Ind. – Several teams competed in a bowling event in Elkhart on Saturday for the purpose of spreading awareness about Parkinson’s disease and raising money for research.
The 4th annual “Party to Fight Parkinson’s” took place at Maple City Bowl. The event also featured a silent auction and a raffle.
“We just felt we had to get involved at a local level, because nobody around here was doing anything for Parkinson’s at the time,” Steve Squires said, founder of Party to Fight Parkinson’s. “And we brought this into the community, and the community has been a tremendous resource for us, and they’ve done phenomenal things.”
The party began at 5 p.m.
All of the proceeds will go towards Parkinson’s research.
