Children ride local horses for a good cause

Families continued celebrating their holiday season at a local barn on Chicago road in Niles, Michigan with Santa and horses.

Local horse owners came together to offer children of all ages pony rides with their horses.

The kids got to wear Santa hats and Santa himself was on scene for photos.

Kathleen Sullivan runs the event and said the event brought out nearly 150 people last year.

The 12-year strong event ran from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at a cost of $8.00.

All proceeds go to at-risk horses and therapy horses.
