SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Half of the sales that were made Friday afternoon at Chivo’s Pizza in South Bend will be donated to the family of Huey Hudson Junior who recently passed away in a shooting.
The owner of the pizza restaurant, Tony Pedraza, said that they want to do everything they can to assist the grieving family.
“It’s something we hear far too often and it’s just too bad that things played out the way they did,” Pedraza said.
Huey Hudson was shot and killed at a home on North Liberty Street in South Bend on Sunday following a dispute.
Police arrested 20-year-old Tryon Scott a few days later in connection with the shooting. Scott is being charged with Murder and Firearm Sentencing Enhancement.
The owner says that the restaurant earned roughly $2400 dollars Friday afternoon – meaning that $1200 will be donated to the family.
The lunch lasted from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Money raised by Chivo’s Pizza will go toward funeral costs for the Hudson family.
