Christmas Generosity

Two South Bend students decided to adopt a family this Christmas. They decided to name the program "Change for a Better Life."

They went around and collected change from people throughout their community for the past three weeks. In total they were able to collect $350.

The funds that were raised were used to buy presents for the adopted family's four children this Christmas.

One of the students, Bridjette Burton, told ABC 57 News "we went to go get them clothes, shoes, pajamas, slippers. We just got them a whole bunch of stuff that they needed. We even bought their mom some stuff because she actually tries so she deserves a break."

The students also told ABC 57 News that they hope this new program continues for many years and helps many more families in our community.
