City of South Bend SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend announced Thursday that it will host the 2nd annual MLK Jr. Honor Walk on Saturday in partnership with the Civil Rights Heritage Center and the Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation.
The roughly 0.7 mile walk to honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will begin at the Civil Rights Heritage Center at 1040 W Washington Street after opening remarks at 10 a.m.
The walk will end at the MLK Jr. Dream Center at 1522 Linden Avenue, where the public can enjoy self-guided tours, music, and refreshments until 2 p.m.
After the walk, the City of South Bend is also hosting the Taste of Linden Market event at 11 a.m. to preview it's Linden Avenue Farmer's Market with four-to-five vendors.
